About Me

Memento was created from a belief that broken or forgotten objects still carry meaning and have a story worth telling. Often, these trinkets and souvenirs wind up collecting dust - sitting in a box in the basement, or on a thrift store shelf. I take these sentimental items and incorporate them into meaningful pieces of art.

One example is the dragonfly piece pictured on this page. When I was a child, my mother would occasionally sew, and I would sit on the floor next to her sewing machine, sifting through a giant tin of old buttons. When my mom passed, I inherited the button collection and have always wanted to use them in a piece of art.

Recently, my sister asked me to decorate a metal dragonfly, and I decided it was the perfect opportunity. To some, the piece may look like a collection of ordinary, mismatched buttons. To my sister, it is a beautiful way to honor our late mother - and it now hangs proudly in her kitchen.

I am an artist and maker who transforms reclaimed materials and personal keepsakes into one-of-a-kind jewelry, mosaics, and sculptural art. Some pieces are created from vintage china, ceramics, and even beach rocks. Some items I source myself, and others are deeply personal, custom-made works created from items provided by clients - pieces of your history that deserve new life.

My work lives at the intersection of art, memory, and transformation. A shattered teacup becomes wearable jewelry. Broken bike chains become a unique bowl for an avid cyclist. Shells and rocks picked up on a family vacation are incorporated into a river table.

Memento is about preservation - of memory, of meaning, of connection. No two pieces are ever alike, because no two stories are the same.

Whether you are drawn to a ready-made piece or seeking custom memorial art created from your own keepsakes, my goal is to create work that feels personal, meaningful, and lasting.
