Materials: Wood letter, stained glass, resin
I’ve always wanted to use a piece of my art for my logo, but that required (in my mind, at least) creating a mosaic letter “M” and with so many other projects happening, it’s hard to find time to make something for myself. Well, I finally hyper-focused on it and now I have a new logo!
The letter is pre-made wood letter from Michael’s and then I glued the stained-glass pieces on to that. Once completed, I didn’t want to use grout because sometimes it can be distracting - especially when there are such tiny pieces. Instead, I used a clear UV resin to keep the pieces in place and also reduce the risk of cutting fingers when touching it. The resin actually had the extra benefit of doming on some of the flower petals and adding texture.
I’m loving the way it turned out. What do you think?
