I'm dedicated to creating meaningful art that reflects your story and vision. Below are the details of the custom order process, including consultation, project scope, and other considerations.
CUSTOM ORDER PROCESS
CONSULTATION: This listing is for a consultation for a custom piece of art, not a finished piece. I create one-of-a-kind artwork using meaningful items from your life — keepsakes, found objects, materials with history — transforming them into art that tells a story. Consultations last up to one hour and may be held in person (Kansas City metro), by phone, or via video. The consultation fee covers this time and helps us to get to know each other so I can create a meaningful, custom heirloom piece of art.
DESIGN & QUOTE: After the consultation, I will provide design direction, an estimated timeline, and pricing for your approval. If we decide to move forward, the consultation fee will be credited toward the final artwork.
APPROVAL & PAYMENT: Once we agree on the details, a payment is required to begin the work. For larger projects, a non-refundable deposit may be required.
CREATION: I will begin crafting your custom piece with care and attention to detail. Timelines vary based on complexity and materials.
COMPLETION & DELIVERY: You will be notified when your piece is ready, and I will arrange for safe delivery.
CANCELLATIONS & RETURNS: Due to the personalized nature of custom work, returns and exchanges are not accepted once production has begun. If there's an issue with the item, please contact me, and I'll do my best to resolve it. If your custom item arrives damaged, please contact me within 7 days, and I'll work with you to find a solution.
IMPORTANT NOTES: Each piece is entirely unique, and timelines vary based on complexity and materials. I work primarily with reclaimed, repurposed, and sentimental materials.
RIGHT TO DECLINE PROJECTS: While I am passionate about creating art, I reserve the right to decline any project that does not align with my creative capabilities or ethical values. This includes projects that involve hate speech or content that I find morally or ethically problematic. This ensures that every piece I create is meaningful and reflects the values that Memento stands for. Not all projects are accepted; I reserve the right to decline commissions that are outside my technical scope or artistic values.
